The buying rate of the US Dollar dropped below Rs.300 mark for the first time since July 5, 2023, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) said.
The Sri Lankan Rupee has continued to strengthen in the recent times and the value of the Rupee has further increased against the US Dollar, CBSL said.
According to the data of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the buying rate of the US dollar was Rs. 299.29 yesterday and the selling rate was Rs. 308.90.
