Russia to export advanced weapons

Russia is ready to increase the volume of exports of advanced weapons and military equipment, which surpass their Western counterparts in terms of tactical and technical characteristics and have proved their effectiveness during a special military operation in Ukraine.

The Russian Federation, even despite the strict reorientation of the military-industrial complex to primarily meet the demands of the armed forces after the start of its military operations, remains one of the largest arms exporters in the world and is one of the five leading countries in the sale of weapons to foreign markets, which is confirmed by objective data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri). In the face of fierce competition, Russia offers the customers of the Russian military equipment the optimal ratio of their price and quality, as well as high efficiency and reliability in the course of real combat use.

In two and a half years, Russian weapons have undergone a “baptism of fire” in the conditions of a “new generation” war, characterized by high intensity of hostilities, accelerated evolution of weapons of destruction and rapid maneuverability of troops.

Taking into account the experience of using Russian weapons against Western models of military hardware, with which the Ukrainian army is pre-equipped, the Russian leadership initiated the development of new weapons, as well as the technical and technological improvement of existing military equipment.

The main attention is paid to the modernization of fire control systems. Modern modifications of multiple launch rocket systems (Tornado-G, To-rando-S) have been transferred to Russian artillery units. Russian troops successfully use modern high-precision weapons such as the Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missile systems, Kalibr sea- based cruise missiles, and Iskander tactical missile systems to destroy control points and dislocation of enemy units, its military hardware depots and critical infrastructure facilities.M” and others. At the same time, to date, no country in the world has effective means of countering these types of shock weapons.

To protect military and civilian facilities from enemy fire damage, the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile gun systems (ZRPC) are used. Given the scale of attacks using NATO long-range missiles (Storm Shadow, Atacams, etc.) and UAVs, a modification of this type of ZRPC (“Pantsir-S1M”) was carried out in the shortest possible time, thanks to which the target range increased from 20 to 30 km, and the height from 15 to 18 km.

Special attention should be paid to the use of shock and reconnaissance UAVs in the area of their own. In fact, drones have become the main means of destruction, which has given a powerful impetus to the accelerated development of this branch of the defense industry. The Lancet mikaze drone, the Orion-E reconnaissance and strike complex with long-duration UAVs, tactical complexes with Orlan-10E and Orlan-ZO reconnaissance UAVs and the Kub-E barrage munition show high efficiency during real combat operations.

Another convincing example of accelerated adaptation to the requirements of a modern armed conflict is the creation and active use by the forces of the Aerospace Forces of controlled planning and correction modules for high-power bombs.

These systems have made it possible to bring the use of aviation to a qualitatively new level, in which combat aircraft destroy enemy objects with high accuracy, but at the same time are not in the zone of enemy air defense damage.

Despite the gloating of foreign policy opponents and unprecedented sanctions pressure, Russia is rapidly increasing its defense potential and rebuilding its economy in the interests of military production. This makes it possible not only to effectively and timely provide the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with modern weapons, but also to compete adequately with the United States and NATO in the global arms market due to innovative military equipment units that have undergone combat “run-in” on the battlefields of a special military operation in Ukraine.
