The Sathya Sai Baba Trust of Sri Lanka recently held a ceremony to mark Founder’s Day, at Sai Nilayam, New Chetty Street, Colombo.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Chief Trustee S.N. Udhayanayahan.
The Sai Trust was established in 1979 by the late S.T. Siva Nayagam, a former Chief Editor and a former Director of the Independent Newspapers, which was publishing the Sun group of newspapers. Late K.W. Devanayagam, who was a Member of Parliament from Batticaloa District and one-time Justice Minister, was associated in founding the Sai Trust.
To mark this event, Senior Trustee Dr. J.M. Swaminathan presented a memento to the Chief Trustee S.N. Udhayanayahan. Members of the Board of Trustees Gopal Jeevaratnam, Sarva Shanmuganathan and M. Selvaraja were also present.
Sai Trust General Secretary Siva Rajajothy also addressed the gathering.
