Sajith Premadasa is seen as the only candidate capable of addressing the long-standing issues in the country, with the right team to implement his proposed solutions, according to MP Chandima Weerakkody.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Samagi Jana Balawegaya headquarters on Thursday (15), Weerakkody emphasised that, of the candidates running for the 9th Executive President, Sajith Premadasa possesses the most qualities suitable for the role.
Weerakkody highlighted Premadasa’s understanding of the people’s struggles and his efforts to improve their lives, even while serving as the Opposition Leader without holding any executive power.
Recognising that implementing plans for the country’s advancement takes time and a team of experts, Weerakkody expressed confidence that if Sajith Premadasa’s plans result in meaningful progress for the people, he will undoubtedly be successful in the upcoming elections as well.
Furthermore, Weerakkody praised Sajith Premadasa for having an alliance of politicians untainted by fraud and corruption, contrasting them with those responsible for the country’s setbacks, whom the people are eager to remove from Parliament.
