Officers of the Commercial Crime Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department on Sunday arrested a Sales Promotion Officer who was working in a wholesale company located in Nuwara Eliya in connection with a financial fraud of Rs.10.8 million.
The Criminal Investigation Department says that the 44-year-old suspect is a resident of Nuwara Eliya. A senior officer of the Criminal Investigation Department said that the sales promotion officer had been pocketing the money owed to the company for a long time. The suspect was to be produced in the Nuwara Eliya Court.
