Kandy Falcons led by Wanindu Hasaranga played really well at this LPL and the team performance highly appreciated by Kandy Falcons mentor former Sri Lanka skipper and Master Blaster Sanath Jayasuriya.
Jayasuriya who was one of the brand ambassadors of this tournament said Kandy team have very young side while their foreign players especially Carlos Brathwaite, Fabian Allen and Andre Fletcher are really doing well using their experience in this format of cricket.
I am very happy the way Kandy players are playing the game and skipper Wanindu Hasaranga and Chamika Karunaratne used their experience to do well. The youngsters like Kamindu Mendis, Ashen Bandara and Pathum Nissanka have shown their potential while all the players have good commitment to go forward, said Jayasuriya.
The head coach Piyal Wijetunga and his supporting staff Tharanga Dhammika, Dharshana Gamage physio, trainer always back the players. The team has winning mentally which is very important.
Actually Kandy team couldn’t do well in the last two LPL editions but this time their mind set is well improved. When the game is going on players’ mind set is very important and Kandy Falcons are maintain a good mind set, added Sanath Jayasuriya.
