A veteran sports journalist Sarath Jayasinghe was honored at the Sabuddi Sports Literary Award Ceremony was held under the patronage of Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Namal Rajapaksa at the Duncan White Auditorium at the Ministry Of Sports last Friday.
. Jayasinghe was awarded a trophy for his contribution for the latest Sports Magazine titled “ ODI Cricket History Of Sri Lanka “ from 1975 – 2020 as a tribute to Late. Gamini Dissanayake, at this prestigious award ceremony. He also published many magazines titled “ Test Cricket History Of Sri Lanka from 1982 – 2013, World Cup Cricket & Sri Lanka Performance from 1975 to 2015, World Cup Cricket & Sri Lanka Records from 1975 – 2003, and Test Your Cricket Power with 1000 questions during his 35 years of sports journalism. He also worked as a founder member for Sirasa FM and Sirasa Television as its Senior Sports Editor till 1999.
