Sarath Weerawansa, brother of former minister Wimal Weerawansa, was granted bail today (28) when he was produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
He was granted bail after appearing before the court this morning.
Weerawansa had been arrested in connection with allegations of misusing vehicles belonging to the State Engineering Corporation, causing financial loss to the government.
According to Police, he was taken into custody by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on July 15 over the incident. (Newswire)
