With a career spanning over twenty years in the development sector, J. M. Mohamed Niswi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. His extensive background in project management, community engagement, and fundraising and project portfolio management makes him a valuable addition to the Sarvodaya Movement’s core leadership team.
Niswi’s most recent position as the Director of Sarvodaya Project Management Unit showcased his outstanding skills in project design, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. His proven track record in administration, time management, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination has contributed significantly to the success of numerous projects addressing a wide range of social challenges. His strategic approach to partner coordination and expanding the development partner base has played a pivotal role in the recent growth of the Sarvodaya Movement. Niswi’s diverse experience extends to community engagement, where he has successfully implemented projects in sectors such as child empowerment, health and nutrition, women empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, disaster response, etc. His ability to work with various stakeholders, including government institutions, Civil Society Organisations, donors, and partners,highlights his commitment to fostering collaboration for sustainable community development.
In his new role as Deputy Executive Director, Niswi will leverage his deep understanding of the development sector, strategic planning, and leadership skills to further the Sarvodaya Movement’s purposeful existence.
