The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval for the proposal by Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha to print school textbooks through 24 institutions for selected grades that will be distributed free in 2025, Cabinet Spokesman Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana said.

He was speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing held yesterday at the Government Information Department. Minister Gunawardhana further said that in April this year, Cabinet approval was granted to print 71 categories of school textbooks out of a total of 317 from the State Printing Corporation for next year.
