More confidence will be enhanced on Sri Lanka after receiving the second tranche of the International Monetary Fund’s extended fund facility and will have a positive impact on the country’s debt restructuring program, State Minister of Finance, Shehan Semasinghe said.
The Minister further said that the credibility of the economy will be established on the economic stability in Sri Lanka while participating as the chief guest at the program held at the Colombo headquarters for the United Nations Day on 24.
State Minister stated that Sri Lanka is optimistic about receiving the second tranche of USD 330 million from the IMF and will unlock support from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and other multilateral financial institutions
The Minister also reiterated appreciation on the continued support provided by the United Nations for a sustainable development of Sri Lanka.
