Seeduwa shooting case of mistaken identity, cops say

The Police believe the shooting incident reported in the Kotugoda, Seeduwa, on Sunday in which a man was injured may be a case of mistaken identity.

Intelligence units have received information that the shooting at a person who was travelling with his mother on a motorcycle, with a T56 gun, by two people who came on a motorcycle, was done on a contract given by an underworld criminal living in Dubai.

According to the information received by the intelligence agencies, the target of the shooters was a man involved in a shooting a few months ago in Raddolugama.

The Police had arrested a person in connection with a shooting near a shop in Raddolugama. The person was recently released on bail after being produced in Court. He was riding a motorcycle with a woman on Sunday. According to the information received by the intelligence agencies, he was the target of the shooter. According to the intelligence agencies, the person who was shot and the man who was the target of the assailants were wearing clothes of the same colour and a woman was riding on each of the motorcycles.

A resident of Kotuguda, Kasagahawatta area was injured in the shooting. The Police said that his mother was not harmed. Police said that he was shot in the face and is receiving treatment in the hospital.
