The Police Sergeant who assaulted the Traffic OIC of the Malabe police station, pointed a gun at him and fled after threatening to kill him has surrendered through a lawyer and appearing before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court.
The Police Sergeant named W.M.R. Bandara Chandrasekara attached to the Kaduwela Police Station was ordered by the court to be remanded in custody till June 28.
This Sergeant had attacked the Traffic section OIC and threatened him with his duty firearm on June 15, after an argument over an issue concerning duties.
