Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort, which will be celebrating their fifth year in 2025 has re-launched their Blue RoofTop bar , General Manager Mano Gunasekara said.
This would be open to outside guests as well and will create a void for an open roof top restaurant with spectacular Indian ocean view in the area. “We have redone the area, installed new furniture and lighting and have created a new ambience to suit the modern day local and foreign guests.”
The hotel also has hired several foreign chefs from India and Russia to meet the demands of foreign guests who patronize the hotel in large numbers. “This is an ongoing seasonal program where we bring down foreign chefs.”
He also said that they also have a Russian receptionist to provide services to Russian guests. Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort is proud to unveil its unique Christmas tree, crafted entirely from tea branches sourced from the Puwakdola Estate in Pinikahana, Elpitiya. Nestled in the Southern Galle District, the Puwakdola Estate spans 10 acres, with 8 acres dedicated to the cultivation of the unique tea variety, 20/23. Tea branches were selectively harvested every three years as part of a sustainable pruning process, ensuring the longevity and health of the plantation.
This year, branches from an acre of the estate were pruned, cleaned, painted, and transformed into a stunning Christmas centerpiece This project exemplifies Sheraton Kosgoda’s philosophy of fostering community partnerships and responsible resource use. The hotel also recently hosted their Christmas tree lighting ceremony with the participation of the guests.
