The police say that two people on a motorcycle shot at a group of people traveling in a car in Udayanagar area of Kilinochchi. The car driver, who was injured by the bullet, has been admitted to the Kilinochchi hospital. The injured is a 38-year-old resident of Kilipanachiya, Udayanagar.
The preliminary investigation of the Police has uncovered that the shooting took place due to a dispute that occurred when the injured person and two others went to Kanakapuram area in a vehicle.
Killianachchiya police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
