A silent protest was held in Galle town today (23) against various conspiracies attempting to derail the legal process of punishing thieves, corrupt individuals and drug traffickers.
Organized by the civil organization ‘Janawarame Purawasiyo’ (Citizens of the People’s Mandate), the demonstration aimed to safeguard the rule of law in Sri Lanka and advocate for decisive measures against corruption.
A large crowd, including members of the Maha Sangha, gathered in Galle town center to participate in the peaceful demonstration.
Protesters emphasized that the judicial process must remain transparent and demanded that no obstacles be placed in the way of enforcing the law against criminals and corrupt actors. (Newswire)
