The Samagi Jana Balawegaya SJB yesterday began collecting signatures from MPs for a No Confidence Motion (NCM) against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella alleging weak handling of matters in the health sector, importing substandard drugs and surgical equipment, weakening the health sector and resulting in deaths yesterday (20). In the past, a large number of deaths occurred in the hospital system of our country due to the importation and use of inferior and substandard drugs.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya continuously informed the government about it, but they did not care about it, considering it to be an emergency, the drugs were brought in outside of the procurement and registration process, and as a result, many major hospitals in the country lost their lives.Keeping these facts in mind, the Motion of No Confidence was signed yesterday.
