The SJB organizer of Mulkirigala Electorate Nimal Francisco yesterday rejoined the UNP fold by obtaining membership of the party.
He obtained UNP membership during a meeting held at the Sirikotha Party Headquarters with the participation of UNP Chairman Vajira Abeywardena.
Francisco said he rejoined the UNP to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe after being impressed by his efforts to rebuild the country. He said that he decided to part ways with the SJB as he was not confident that the SJB leadership had the ability to take the country forward.
