SL High Commission in Malaysia showcases Lanka’s rich Cultural Heritage at ICWC2023 Exhibition

The Sri Lanka High Commission in Malaysia participated in the ICWC2023 Exhibition, held on September 08 – 09 of 2023. The exhibition served as a platform to exhibit diverse cultural tapestry and promote the enchanting beauty of Sri Lanka.

During the exhibition, the Sri Lanka High Commission showcased the country’s rich culture and heritage, captivating visitors with a mesmerizing display. Among the highlights were the traditional Wooden Masks (Wes Muhunu), renowned for their intricate craftsmanship and symbolic significance. These striking masks, rooted in Sri Lankan traditions, fascinated attendees and provided a glimpse into the country’s ancient artistry.

Additionally, the Sri Lanka High Commission showcased two of the nation’s prized exports; cashew and Sri Lankan tea. Renowned for their exceptional quality and distinct flavours, these products garnered significant attention and appreciation from the attendees. As an integral part of the Gala Buffet, the Sri Lanka High Commission contributed three Sri Lankan dishes; ‘Halapa,’ ‘Cutlets,’ and ‘Kokis’ which epitomize the rich culinary heritage of Sri Lanka.
