The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) has completed 1,000 Weeks of Friday Jumma Sermon Broadcasting from Kollupitiya Jumma Mosque recently. A ceremony was held with the presence of Kollupitiya Jumma Mosque President Abdul Rahuman Haroon. Treasurer of the Mosque Yasser Azeez delivered the welcome address.
SLBC Chairman Dr. Uditha Gayashan was the Chief Guest. Director General Dhaminda Kumara, News Director Kumudu Wajira Perera, Assistant Director Administration Indra Nawagamuwa, Assistant Director Marketing Upul Chandana, Director Administration Padmasiri, Malaysian Embassy Counselor Mohammad Tuming, ACJU President Ash Sheik M. I. M. Rizvi Mufthy, Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Director M. S. M. Nawas, former SLBC Chairman Hudson Samarasinghe, Trustees of the Mosque M. A. M. Zakwan, Shezmin Munsoor, Shahaz Shiyam and SLBC Officials were also present.
The Board of Management presented a memento to SLBC Chairman Dr. Uditha Gayashan. Muslim Service Head of M. J. F. Rinoosiya, former Director Muslim Service M. Z. Ahamed Munawaar and Producer S. H. M. Riza were also presented with mementos.
