The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) donated equipment worth around Rs. 1.5 million to the Volleyball Federation on a special request of Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation President Kanchana Jayaratne at the Cricket Institute in Torrington, Colombo recently.
This equipment includes a hand tractor worth around Rs. one million, a lawnmower, and a floor roller.
The document about this equipment was handed over to the President of SL Volleyball Federation Kanchana Jayaratne by the President of SLC Institute Shammi Silva. Chairman of the Cricket Development Committee Kamal Dharmasiri and the Vice President of Volleyball Federation C. Ratnamudali were also present on this occasion.
The President of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, Kanchana Jayaratne, thanked Sri Lanka Cricket for its support in lifting volleyball standards high.
The President of SLC Institute Shammi Silva said that the friendly relationship between the Sri Lanka Cricket and the Sri Lanka Volleyball Association will provide the necessary support to improve the quality of volleyball in the future.
