Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chairman and former President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday said that his party will vote in favour of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme. He was of the view that any IMF condition that were not agreeable to the country can be renegotiated.
He said that his government was with the IMF for five years. “There are certain conditions there that we cannot agree with, which we must re-negotiate”, he added
The former President said that his party will definitely vote for the IMF programme in the country on Friday.
