National People’s Power Executive Member K.D. Lalkantha said he cannot imagine what will happen to some media platforms when those who are in power is defeated at the upcoming Presidential election. While addressing a political meeting he further said that those who are presently in power will definitely face defeat at the next election.
Some media organisations belong to those who will face defeat at the Presidential Election. “After the government changes, part of those media institutions will become people’s media and I don’t know what will happen to the rest. Some media organizations may cease operating after the present government is defeated at the election,”he said.
He added that these media outlets are disseminating so much misleading information.”
