The South African High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Chandler E. Salk, visited the Batticaloa district the day before yesterday (28).
The South African High Commissioner who visited Batticaloa visited St. Michael’s College, Batticaloa, a famous school in the East established by the English, and discussed the needs of the college with the College principal and friends.
Under the guidance of Eastern Province Governor Senthil Thondaman, Chairman of Eastern Province Tourism Authority A.B Madan visited Batticaloa.
The progress of the school and the needs of the school were discussed under the chairmanship of Anton Benedict Joseph, Principal of St. Michael’s College.
Batticaloa District Scout Commissioner Vivekanandan Pradeepan and a large number of people were present here.
Accepting the requests made to the higher authorities regarding the needs of the school, the High Commissioner promised to look into the matter in the future.
