Springboks beat Tonga and got closer to quarter-finals

South Africa all but secured a place in the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup 2023, with a 49 – 18 victory over Tonga in their final Pool B game. The reigning champions will progress barring an unlikely series of events that would see a three way tie with Ireland and Scotland and a points difference swing. the springboks scored seven tries against a spirited Tongan side in Marseille.

South Africa earned a bonus-point 49-18 win over Tonga and will now eagerly await Ireland’s match with Scotland on Saturday to discover their fate in the Rugby World Cup.
