The Sri Lanka launch of Dr. Kalinga Seneviratne’s book GeoPolitics and the Media in Asia and the Pacific: Pulling in Different Directions was recently held at the Sri Lanka Press Council.
Dr. Palitha Kohona, former Sri Lankan ambassador to the United Nations and China, and Chief of the UN Treaty Section in New York, graced the event as the keynote speaker.
Dr. Kalinga Seneviratne, the author, is an international communications analyst, former Head of Research at the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), and currently a Research Fellow at Shinawatra International University in Thailand.
Following the keynote speech, Dr. Seneviratne delivered an insightful presentation on “Media’s Adversarial Culture Fuelling GeoPolitical Conflict” during the event.
