Stamp to mark Law College’s 150th anniversary

Celebrating the completion of 150 years of the Sri Lanka Law College, the issue of first day-cover is scheduled to be held on March 1 from 2.30 p.m. onwards at the College Main Hall, presided by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya, PC as the Chief Guest.

Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, the Attorney-General, Judges from Supreme Court, Appeal Court and other Courts, officials of the Attorney-General Department, Principal of Law College and the staff, Government officials and law students will be invited to this event.

Established in 1874, the Law College has gained a reputation as the oldest professional institution in the country as well as the sole entry point to the legal profession.
