Sujatha College, Matara, a leading girls’ school in the South, held the awarding of school prefect badges for the Primary section on March 14, at the main hall of the school.
Matara zone Education Director Omini Mudalige was the chief guest.
One hundred and fifty students took the oath as junior prefects, while G.S.A. Jenuwi Dahamni Sahabandu took the oath as the head prefect and AhangamaWalawage Nuwi Akisa and Senudi Hasanya Jayalath were appointed as junior vice head prefects of the school.
A bright past pupil of the school and a doctor at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital Dr. H.G. Hiruni Udara, Principal Subhashini Siribaddana, Principal of the Primary section Punya Mudalige along with the teaching staff of the school and parents were present.
