Akkaraipattu Sun Rise sports Club’s mass beach clean-up programme scheduled every first Saturday of the month was held this time at Akkaraipattu Beach (Mosque square) with full of enthusiasm in accordance with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s “Clean Sri Lanka” on Saturday January 04.
This programme is held every first Saturday of the month from 6.30 a.m., to 7.30 a.m., since 2013 with different group of people especially with the participation of retired personnel of Government Departments and other civil societies. The participants are served nutritional food and drinks like Kolakenda or Kurakkan Kanchi at the end of the programmes.
