Suspect fined Rs. 65,000 for selling liquor during lockdown

A suspect was arrested in Mukathuwaram in the Batticaloa Police Division during the lockdown yesterday for selling liquor.

Police found a high number of bottles of liquor at his house on a tip off. The suspect was produced before Batticaloa Magistrate A.C. Rizwan and ordered to be fined Rs. 65,000.
