The Northern Central Province Education Department reports that a teacher from a school in the Elayapattuwa area of the Anuradhapura Education Zone has been interdicted.
The teacher admitted to the offence of leaking Geography examination papers and answers for grades 6 and 7 of the third term examination to an unauthorised person before the exam was conducted.
The teacher was suspended by the provincial education authorities on January 7. Northern Central Province Education Director S.M.W.Samarakoon stated that the suspension was imposed following a preliminary investigation.
