A teenage girl tragically passed away after falling from the 12th floor of a building in the Borella Police Division on Friday (10) night.
Deceased girl was a 16-year-old resident of Serpentine Road, Borella.
She fell from the 12th floor from a 24 story building and was later admitted to the Colombo National Hospital with severe injuries but unfortunately passed away.
Police reports that according to the deceased girl’s relatives, she had been receiving medical treatment for mental stress for some time. The Police are continuing their investigation to determine whether the girl jumped or accidentally fell from the balcony of the apartment.
