The thrilling event concluded at the Royal Colombo Golf Club yesterday with Thangaraja’s impressive total of 278 strokes.
Taking on the challenging Par-71 course, Thangaraja showcased exceptional skill and consistency throughout the four rounds. His performance chart read as follows: an even Par 71, an impressive Under Par 67, a challenging Over Par 77, and a remarkable 68 Under Par strokes in his final round, sealing his championship win.
In a closely contested tournament, veteran professional golfer Anura Rohana, representing the Royal Colombo Golf Club, claimed the runner-up position with a total of 280 strokes. Rohana’s rounds comprised scores of 69, 72, 72, and 67 strokes, demonstrating his prowess on the course during the four-day event.
Rounding off the podium was K Prabhagaran, hailing from the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, who secured third place with a total of 284 strokes. Prabhagaran’s rounds included an impressive Under Par 68, a challenging Over Par 74, an even Par 71, and another even Par 71,
