Tharana Wimaladharma steered Trinity College Kandy to victory over Gurukula College Kelaniya in their first round fixture of the Under 19 Inter School Two-day tournament played at Asgiriya yesterday.
Tharana Wimaladharma claimed 11 wickets in the match as Trinity College Kandy beat Gurukula College Kelaniya by an innings and 37 runs. Thamindu Pramod of Henegama Central College made an unbeaten 200 runs in 141 balls with 18 boundaries and 12 sixes against Sri Rahula College Katugastota. He is the first double centurion for the season.
Henegama Central College beat Sri Rahula College Katugastota by an innings and 56 runs and Piliyandala Central College beat St. John’s College Panadura by 132 runs.
