The third Kumbal Perahara of the Kandy Esala Perahara Festival will tour the streets today (12).
The Perehera will start at 7.22 pm and will parade in the streets of Dalada Veediya, D.S.Senanayake Veediya, Colomba Veediya, E.L.Senanayake Mawatha before coming back to Dalada Maligawa.
The Kumbal Perahara started on Saturday (10) and thousands of people came to see the Perahara on the first day itself.Tusker Indi Raja, carried the relics casket in the first Kumbal Perahara. Around 6,000 Police officers have been deployed for the security of those viewing the Kandy Esala Perahara festival this year.
