Police Special Task Force officers arrested three persons involved in preparing fake passports under different names for underworld criminals to flee the country and handed them over to the Colombo Crime Division for further investigations.
According to Police, two suspects were arrested with 05 grams and 440 milligrams of heroin and 05 grams and 960 milligrams of heroin by officers of the STF Gonahena camp recently.
The Police Media Spokesman’s Office states that the two of them have prepared fake passports for various criminals to flee the country.
During further questioning of the suspects, another person was arrested on June 23 at Homagama for aiding and abetting in the racket. The suspects aged 52, 54 and 58 years are residents of Piliyandala, Pannipitiya and Kirillawala.
