Three boys missing since New Year found in Ambalangoda

The three children, two aged 15 and the other 14, who had been missing since New Year’s Day have been found in a house in Galagoda, Ambalangoda.

The police say that the three children were found in the house where the father of the 14-year-old child resides.

Investigations have revealed that these three children boarded a bus in Dummaladeniya on the afternoon of April 14, went to Colombo, and from there boarded a bus going to Galle and went to Ambalangoda.

The 14-year-old boy’s father is said to be staying in Ambalangoda after having had a dispute with his wife over an extramarital affair in which she was allegedly involved.

It has also been revealed that the 14-year-old child has been visiting his father in Ambalangoda for about two years. It is said that his mother also has a child from the illegitimate affair she is having. This 14-year-old child who went to Ambalangoda with his two 15-year-old friends, told his father that he came with the two friends because of harassment from his mother.

The police say that the mother of one 15-year-old child had died of cancer eight months ago.

The police say that the mother of the other 15-year-old child has abandoned the child and her husband. The police say that the father has been suffering from an illness for a long time. The child is cared for by his grandparents.

Earlier, the Wennapuwa Police launched an extensive investigation to find the three children, who were reported missing since New Year’s Day.

The children are friends residing in Dummalagedara and Wennappuwa and are studying in the same school.
