Three held over Ragama fish trader’s shooting

Ragama Police arrested three suspects yesterday in connection with the shooting at a house in Ragama Walpola where a fishtrader, his mother and a 17-year-old student were injured.

The Ragama Police say that among those suspects are the person who rode the motorcycle that the shooter came, the person who gave him the motorcycle and a person who acted as a spy.

Police say that these three suspects are aged between 20 and 25 years. Police said that the shooter has fled and investigations are being conducted to arrest him.

It has been revealed that the shooting was a contract given by an underworld criminal named Welle Saranga, a drug trafficker based in Dubai. Police say the shotting was due to a personal dispute.
