Three new Reach Stacker cranes required for the operational activities of the Sri Lanka Port Authority (SLPA), were purchased and handed over to its Logistics and Operation Divisions by the Chairman of SLPA Dr. Prasantha Jayamanna parallel to the 43rd anniversary of the Sri Lanka Port Authority.
SLPA Chairman also noted that successful utilization of these new machinery equipment purchased at a comparatively low rate of cost is expected to efficiently boost operational activities of the SLPA at a time where there exists difficulties to purchase such machines and equipment at high prices.
The Vice Chairman of SLPA G.U.K. Algewattege, SLPA’s Managing Director Mr. Upul Jayatissa, Chief Operating Officer (Services) Mr. P. A. R. D. Pathiraja and Chief Engineer (Mechanical Plants) M. S. A. Pathirage also participated in the occasion.
