“It is more suitable to hold an internal vote to elect a new leader for our party. There is no doubt that the party will become stronger after the election
of the new leader through a vote,” TNA MP M.A.Sumanthiran said.
The MP also said that he will retire from politics in another five years.
These days, many people are talking about the TNA and they express various opinions. But I believe that holding an internal vote to elect a new leader for our party is more successful.
There is no doubt that the party will be stronger after the new leader for our party is elected. I suggest that it is very appropriate to hold a vote every two years to choose a leader for the party. No party has democratic values like ours. I will be 60-years-old in two months. I will retire from politics at the age of 65. I have never made the mistakes which my predecessors committed.
“Since 2010, I have been with R.Sampanthan in all activities of the Party. I have participated in discussions at the all-party level,”he said.
