The month of November 2023 became the golden month for 2023 Tourism when it passed the 144,000 arrival mark overrunning the previous best month of July which accounted to 143,039.
Tourist arrivals from November 1 to 27, 2023 were 137,703 and the last three days of the month fetched around 6,500 to pass the July arrival figures.
The total arrivals from January to November 27, 2023 were 1,263,158. The total number of tourists that visited Sri Lanka in 2022 was 719,978. Top three sourcing destinations for Sri Lanka for November 2023 was India with 27,281 accounting to 20% followed by Russian Federation 22,382 (16% ) and in third place was Germany with 11,680 arrivals.
