Traffic restrictions are in place on the Colombo-bound lane of D.S. Senanayake Mawatha near the D.S. Senanayake Junction in Borella due to emergency repairs to a leaking water pipeline, Police said.
Excavation work is currently underway, affecting traffic travelling towards Colombo from Model Farm Junction via Parliament Road, Castle Street and Model Farm.
Police have advised motorists to use alternative routes via Old Bullers Road and Cemetery (Kanatta) Roundabout after turning at Model Farm Junction, or via Cotta Road from Ayurveda Roundabout towards Borella Junction.
Motorists are urged to use the alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. (Newswire)
