Trinity beat Thomians in table tennis

The Trinity College and S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia table tennis encounter for the sixth ttime took place on Saturday at the Municipal Council indoor stadium at Katukelle, and Trinity College were able to win by 3-2.. The Trinity Table Tennis team, which had exhibited impressive display over the past year, achieved the win by dominating all the age group events for the very first time in this prestigious encounter. With this win, overall tally is Trinity College four and S. Thoams’ College 2.

In the under 12 event, Trinity College emerged winners with a hard-fought 3-2 win. Then in the under 15 both A and B Trinity teams delivering outstanding performances, and won by 3-0 and won the Indra De Soysa Shield’ in spectacular fashion and TT players Yevan Herath Bandara and Danuja Karunarathne unveiled their exceptional skills. In the under 20 event Trinity College team displayed their prowess to win by 3-1 to win the Nalanda Ellawala Memorial Trophy. Akesh Dimantha and Senhiru Deegalle played a crucial role in their success.

Old Sylvestrians SC-seven a side cricket

Old Sylvestrians Sports Club Presidents trophy seven a side tennis ball cricket tournament will be held on September 17 Sunday at the Police grounds, and the organizers are all-out to make it a grand tournament and hoping to play every year. In this only old boys are allowed to take part, so it is going to be top cricket tournament with some of their top cricketers in action. The winners will get a trophy and Rs. 25,000/ The runner-up will get a trophy and Rs. 15,000..Man of the match, best batsman, best fielder, and best bowler will get a trophy and Rs. 5000.
