Trinity College received a huge boost ahead of the 77th annual Inter-Schools Bradby Shield rugby encounter when they joined the leading isotonic manufacturer Yeti as the hydration partner.
Trinity will take on their traditional rivals Royal College in the first leg of the 77th Bradby Shield on July 22 at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy while the second leg will take place on August 5 at the Royal Sports Complex in Colombo.
Yeti will provide the Trinity Rugby Team with isotonic sports drinks to meet their hydration needs and as part of the partnership, the players will also have access to the elite Yeti portfolio of sports isotonic products.
This time, Trinity, led by fly half Atab Manzil, are determined to bring an end to a nine-year long wait having last won the Bradby Shield outright way back in 2014 under the captaincy of Tarinda Ratwatte.
The 2016 Bradby Shield encounter ended in a tie 35-25 while the match did not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Trinity currently lead the Bradby series having emerged victorious on 35 occasions while Royal have won 35 matches with two games ending in a tie.
