Katunayake Police said that two persons died in a collision between a three-wheeler and a bus in the Andiambalama area, at around 10.45 pm on Sunday (22).
The luxury bus runs every day from Dehiwala to Batticaloa through Katunayake after seats reservation is done online.
The 25-year-old driver of the three-wheeler and a 19-year-old who was travelling in the passenger seat died in the accident.
The bodies are at the Negombo Hospital mortuary.
The driver of the bus was arrested by the Katunayake Police.
