Two individuals have been drowned while bathing in the ‘Ihala Kanhidigama’ lake in Kahatagasdigiliya last evening.
The victims were identified as 24 &34 years old ,residents of Polgahawela and Pujapitiya.
Investigations have revealed that the two drowned last evening (20) after drinking alcohol with two others and then going to bathe in the ‘Ihala Kanhidigama’ lake.
The bodies have been sent to Kahatagasdigiliya Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Kahatagasdigiliya Police.
