Two Iranian nationals killed, after drinking hand sanitizer

Two Iranian individuals, who were at the Colombo Remand Prison, had died after consuming hand sanitizer, Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said.

He said another 10 Iranian inmates were admitted to prison hospital as they had also consumed liquid sanitizer.

He said the Iranian nationals were in remand custody on narcotic related charges.
