Two people were killed and four others seriously injured in a road accident involving a car, three three-wheelers and four motorcycles in Mattakkuliya, Colombo, on Wednesday night (16).
The accident occurred when a car collided with several vehicles travelling along the road.
According to reports, the car struck three three-wheelers and four motorcycles, leaving six people injured.
All six were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, where two later succumbed to their injuries, hospital sources confirmed.
The remaining four are receiving treatment for serious injuries.
Police have arrested the driver of the car involved in the accident.
Mattakkuliya Police are conducting further investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. (Newswire)
