Police Special Task Force arrested two persons who were ready to sell a Conch Shell (Valampuri) for Rs. 60 million yesterday. These two suspects were arrested along with Valampuriya in a raid conducted at Ginigathhena in the Hatton Police Division and the suspects are in the age group of 36 and 41.
The raid was conducted by the Special Task Force personnel disguised as businessmen who wanted to buy the Valampuriya. The raid had been conducted on the directive of STF commandant SDIG Waruna Jayasundera.
