Two youth have been brutally assaulted by a group of security personnel in a night club located on Duplication Road, Colombo. A complaint has been submitted to the Bambalapitiya Police Station on December 1 regarding this assault, but no suspect has been arrested until yesterday (3). A 24-year-old resident of Ja-ela has complained about this assault to the Bambalapitiya Police Station.
He had complained to Police that he was assaulted by the security personnel at around 4 am when he went to the night club with a friend who lives at Polhengoda Road, Narahenpita. In the complaint he has said that the guards also hit his friend on the head with a glass bottle.The 24-year-old man was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital and is receiving treatment.
It is said that the injured young man is a person who is pursuing higher education in Australia and had arrived on holiday.
